HLS Debugger error

Jump to solution

Encountered a strange error after a reboot after Windows was forced to power down.  I found a solution so wanted to share.

Launching .Debug has encountered a problem.

Could not determine GDB version using command: gdb --version

I initially tried

1) clean during the C simulation build

2) restart HLS

3) copy source and TB to a new project (surprised this didn't work considering what did work).

4) Project settings showed some strange unknown flags for the testbench file. I tried manually removing.

None worked.

Then, I removed the testbench file from the Explorer pane and added it back.  This seemed to clear the strange flags, and debugger now runs.
