Pragma pipelining and pragma unroll

Jump to solution

Hi all,

When I synthesize my design in Vivado HLS using pragma pipelining or prgama unroll,  I will get not only one synthesis report but several type of it such as figure below:

Capture.PNG

What does it mean? What is the total timing and latency that I should consider? Which report gives me the overall performance of my design?

@nurulhuda

Each of these synthesis reports will report out the latency and utilization of all the functions/operations used in your design.

For details regarding top level synthesis, you can check the report that has the name of your top level function.

Thanks,
Nupur

Hi @nurulhuda,

These are individual synth reports of the sub-functions that are present under the main(top) function. You can check the synth report of the top function which will be in the format <top_function_name>_csynth.rpt for overall performance of the design.
