I am using Vivado 2019.01 HLS and for part of my calculation a tangenshyperbolicus function is essential.
Somehow the co-simulation is taking forever, by now I pinned the problem to the calculation including the hls::tanhf and it seems this is the part slowing down the co-simulation.
Does anybody have expirience with the hls_math library and the included functions or are there any examples how to use those optimally?
Is it possible, that they actually slow down the co-simulation and calculation?
I am very new to Vivado HLS so I appreciate any kind of information.

Hi @lily93 ,
I don't think the libraries that are provided with Vivado HLS would cause co-simulation to run forever.
It might be due to your coding, because of which RTL simulation may never finish.
Please provide your design files for any suggestions from the community on why the co-simulation is running forever.
