@alaertsg,

Thanks for sharing xinfo.txt. The issue is due to the HostID mismatch as mentioned in @vuppala,

Capture.PNG

Please check the AR#60510.

http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/60510.html

Also the below AR will guide you in rehosting the License based on its type:

Certificate License:http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/36136.html

Activation License:http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/60525.html

@alaertsg,

Please share the complete License file along with xinfo.txt.

To generate xinfo,txt, Run below command in Vivado Tcl shell and share the output file.

report_environment -file xinfo.txt

Regards,

Syed

Hi Gery,

The issue looks like hostid mismatch. i.e., The hostid in the license file is: 303a640e6681 whereas the Vivado License Manager was unable to read the ethernet port name since it was named as wlp2s0 (whose hostid is:303a640e6681).

Rename the ethernet port name from wlp2s0 to eth0, eth1, etc., to resolve this issue.

Check this answer record for more information: http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/60510.html

Thanks,

Vinay

@syedz

Thanks for the info.

I have renamed the interfaces of my Centos installation to the olde naming convention.

Unfortunately I have ask to register a license on the Wlan adapter of my laptop.

3: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP qlen 1000
    link/ether 30:3a:64:0e:66:81 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 192.168.1.29/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global dynamic wlan0
       valid_lft 3561sec preferred_lft 3561sec
    inet6 2a02:a03f:18b9:3b00:323a:64ff:fe0e:6681/64 scope global noprefixroute dynamic
       valid_lft 345625sec preferred_lft 345625sec
    inet6 fe80::323a:64ff:fe0e:6681/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

Is does not seems so easy to rename this interface to eth(something).

Is there a way to attach the license to a Wlan interface.

The problem is that I did not requested this license myself, I got it via the university, so it will by not so easy to rehosting this license to the wired network adapter.

Hello @alaertsg

You have two options to resolve this issue.

1. Changing the wlan0 to eth0/eth1/etc., (see the instructions in AR#60510)

2. Rehost the license file to eth0 i.e., whose hostid is:7cd30a008e8a (see the instructions in AR#36136)

Thanks,

Vinay

@vuppala

I was unable to change the wlan0 to eth0. That is not so straight forward.

Finaly I have asked for a new license that is bound to the fixed network card...
