SDSoC: not checking out a license

Jump to solution

SDSoc_Tools shows up in the license status. Why doesn't SDx see the license? When I open sdx, it asks me to acquire a license and opens the license manager.  Vivado is working just fine.

Thanks.

Hi @jlaudolff,
From the screen shot it looks like there is a version limit compatibility issue. The version limit of 2017.11 is only compatible with the tools up to version 2017.3 and I see this is the tools 2017.4 manager you have open.

Thank you,

Devin

Thanks for the reply. I have been out of the office but am back today.

The claim is a little confusing that 2017.11 has a version limit of 2017.3 because I have been using Vivado 2017.4 (without SDSoc) for quite awhile. I will retry SDSoC with Vivado 2017.3 today or on Monday.

I don't see where SDSoC is available for 2017.3. Is this correct? Only 2017.2 or 2017.4?

Also, I see this on the 2017.4 installation page regarding FlexLM version.

I was able to use the license with 2017.2.

Thanks for your help. I missed the link you posted on first read. It all makes sense now.
