ZCU 111 licensing Issue

Hello All,

I am working on developing ZCU111 board using VIVADO 2020.1 design suite. I use CPRI IP core which is supported by my license; however during generating the bit file, and error appeared that the synthesis feature is not found for the license as attached in the photo. I've checked the expiration date of my license which showed that it is still valid.

Any assistance regrading this problem?

Then that's likely the problem. It is looking for a license that actually matches the host machine.

You should be able to rehost the license:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/36136.htm (Licensing - How do I rehost a license?)

But I'd initially focus on trying to figure out why it doesn't match... Assuming Windows and a MAC address and I'd check the hostID in the license against "ipconfig /all" and try to figure out why.

But there's been other cases like:

That is a licensing issue but it has nothing to do with the CPRI IP.
The RFSoC devices are not WebPACK devices (which don't require a license for synthesis or implementation) - see https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2020_2/ug973-vivado-release-notes-install-license.pdf page 10

In short, you need a Vivado Design or System Edition license to implement this.
But i believe the ZCU111 should have come with a device-locked license here for the ZU28DR - do you redeeem this and add it to your configuration.

If you don't have this, it will error out in synthesis, exactly as you've seen.

Thanks for your reply.

I've redeemed the license as mentioned in the previous reply, however I got the same error even it seems in the license manger that the board is included. I am attaching the license manger photo with the error appeared.

Your help is appreciated.

The feature looks right.

Do the hostIDs match? - I can't tell because your graphic is cropped. But that is a common issue in my experience. But I've seen that a few times when the license was generated for a different computer, moved, cut to a MAC address on a docking station that was removed, etc.

It does not match, however I used the same computer, it there a way to reset it?
