How to identify an -1LI device?

Jump to solution

Hi,

we try to identify the exact FPGA type on a batch of boards that came back from assembly. We have had five boards assembled: two with a xc7a50tfgg484-1 each, three with a xc7a50tifgg484-1L each. Unfortunately they already have a passive heat sink glued to them which cannot be removed without destroying the device (it's some kind of two component glue). The FPGAs are all configured with the same bitstream and we could not measure any difference in power consumption, which is a bit suspicious.

Is there a way to find out which boards have the low-power devices assembled?

Best regards,

Jan :)

Jadero,

Yes, your only option is to either look at your PO for a possible part marking information somewhere or obtain a copy of it by contacting the Xilinx distributor you purchased the devices from.

T

Hi @jadero

I believe you should be able to find this clear information in the post route timing report of your project. So, once you generate the bit files with each of the devices at your end, just navigate to the corresponding project directories-->.runs/impl_1/xxx_timing_summary_routed.rpt

I think this doesn't help. We need to find out the exact type of FPGA that is soldered on the PCB, covered by a heat sink (and not the bitfile or Vivado project settings). According to that we will then build the correct design and program the FPGA.

@jadero

Really sorry for the confusion over here. I don't see any way to get this however let us wait if others have any comments on this.
