Spartan7 and Kintex7 LVDS interface and Flash memory support

Jump to solution

Hi All,

I am thinking of using the following Xillinx FPGAs:

  1. Kintex7  - XC7K325T-1FBG676C
  2. Spartan7 - XC7S25-1CSGA225C

I am interested to use LVDS25 lines between the FPGAs above.

Both of the FPGAs will have a flash memory to boot from and our problem is that we cannot find a flash memory that powered from 2.5V VCCO.

Also is it a possibility to ally different VCCOs on different banks on both FPGAs?

From my understanding the Spartan7 family is not supporting LVDS18.

Can you please help me with this issue?

Big Thanks

Nikolay.rosenfeld,

Only difference really between LVDS_"18" and LVDS_"25" is the supply voltage each driver needs. Also you can use LVDS inputs on non standard IO voltage banks with some caveats. Besides reading up on UG471 I would recommend brushing up on the LVDS IO banking rules through the below ARs.
