can asynchronous BPI flash meet the requirement of pcie ip core

hi, everybody,

I have a pcie card, which can transfer data to the computer via pcie bus. A pcie IP core is used。 As xilinx data sheet said, the configuration files must be loaded within 100ms, otherwise the computer would fail to recognize the pcie card. A BPI flash which can work in synchronous mode is recommended.

But all the Micron flash which can work in synchronous mode, is in the end of life. the alternatives is a flash only can work in asynchronous mode.

So can asynchronous  BPI flash meet the requirement of 100ms?

Re: can asynchronous BPI flash meet the requirement of pcie ip core

you need to use the tandem configuration so that you can meet 100ms requirement for 7-series/ultrascale devices

check the following link for details on tandem

Re: can asynchronous BPI flash meet the requirement of pcie ip core

hi,

    thanks for your reply.

is that the only method to meet the requirement of Pcie IP core?

I am wondering why Micron threw all the flash which Supports synchronous mode into end of life......
