What does the option -waveform mean?

you can specify a clock waveform that is arbitrary pulse widths.   -waveform { 2.0, 1.0, 3.0, 4.0 }    has low 2.0 ns, high for 1.0 ns, low for 3.0 ns, and then high 4.0 ns before repeating.
