zcu102 as an endpoint and zc706 as the root complex

Hi everybody,

Is it possible to configure zc706 as a root complex and connect it via the PCIe finger (PCIe edge) to zcu102 configured as endpoint?

Generally, Is it possible that the root complex node (the node with PCIe finger) connect to the endpoint (the node with PCIe slot) via PCIe finger (neither FMC  nor PCIe slot are our target to make the connection)?

7-series PCI Express hard block can be configured as the Root port.

Regarding your other question, can you review the schematics of ZC706 and ZCU102?

zcu102 can not be configured as end point, only root complex (hardware design)
