MPSoC: unable to write FTM GPO register

Jump to solution

Hello.

I'm trying to run simple standalone application which works with debug GPIO included in the FTM module (separate GPI and GPO registers). GPI register (at address 0xFE9D0010) successfully reads (switches are connected here in my system/board). But GPO register (at address 0xFE9D0020) has value 0x0 which cannot be changed (I connect leds to that outputs and they are permanently off). Memory window in the debugger gives the same result.

It's look like any additional protection for writing or initialization problem but I cannot find any additional information about FTM GPO register. Any suggestions? Thank you.

FTM Module has LAR register (Lock Access Register) at 0xFE9D0FB0. It is need to be written by value 0xC5ACCE55 to allow writing to FTM. https://www.xilinx.com/html_docs/registers/ug1087/ftm___lar.html
