USB Camera and Zynq Ultrascale+

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and i am want to use point grey/FLIR  USB 3.0 camera and develop image preprocessing and then dispaly it on monitor.

I have a "point grey/FLIR  USB 3.0 Blackfly S USB3 " camera which works at 30+ fps. I am using this camera to achive a real-time some image preprocessing.

Here my goal is to connect this camera to "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZCU102 Evaluation Kit", make some preprocessing on the FPGA, and finaly dispaly output image on a monitor. But I have never worked before with FPGAs, so I have a lot of confusion in my mind. I would be very happy if you could help me with these questions:

1. Is it possible to use camera and Is there particular camera drivers that i need to download ?

2. Can you please help me with instructions for connecting the USB 3.0 camera to a FPGA?

Thank you a lot, every little help would be appreciated!

Hi @nbangalo

I suggest you to use v4l2 driver and GStreamer as multimedia framework.

Also, even if this URL is for ZCU106, I recommend to refer it, too.

Would you try it ?

Best regards,
