Data abort exception when running bare metal zynq

Jump to solution

Hello everyone,

I did a simple ZED board bare metal test.

1) In the Base System Builder of the XPS I created the predefined system for the ZED board.

2) I synthesized a .bit file and exported this design to SDK (see attached file addressMap.png)

3) In SDK I created a Xilinx Application peripheral test project.

4) In the SDK I also programmed the FPGA via digilent cable.

5) In the SDK I downloaded my testproject via a digilent cable.

5) I executed the peripheral test project. The result was always a DataAbortInterrupt when the test project read/write an address of the axi_gpio module. E.g. the following command crashes:

XGpio_Out32(0x41220000, ...)

Now I am wondering why this is happening, the address 0x41220000 is served by an axi_gpio IP core ?

Best regards,

Matthias

Problem solved :-)

The fpga wasn't programmed correctly (and SDK didn't show any error messages )
