UHS-I with HR bank

UHS-I standard required dynamic VCCIO switching from 3.3V to 1.8V

how is it best todo with Xilinx HR bank I/Os?

we define LVCMOS18, then if the VCCIO is above 2.1 the internal comparator changes the IO drivers to something else, and when we switch to 1.8V then we have proper drivers for UHS-I in 1.8V mode?

or do we need to use dynamic reconfiguration to change the IO standard on the fly?

Re: UHS-I with HR bank

I don't think it's a good idea to depend on undocumented protection circuitry in the device to do something very specific.
I think change to 1.8V and do dynamic reconfig of the IO standard would be a more robust solution. It also has the added benefit of being a supported flow by Xilinx.

Re: UHS-I with HR bank

the dynamic reconfig still needs a separate license, even if it is just changing io standard.

the protection circuit does not disable single ended drivers, but indeed would like to know official info how to implement such cases with 7 series HR banks
