zc702 USB speed

Hi. Now I need to transfer mass data rapidly between PS and PC.

I download the zip file which contains an example design of USB mass storage.

After I run the demo, a removable disk appear on PC.

Then I used a disk test tool to test the R/W speed.

The read speed is around 6MB/s. It's too slow for my project requirement.

Have anybody tested the USB on zynq? Please tell me what's the maximum speed? Is there any way to improve the R/W speed?

Re: zc702 USB speed

Hi,

I guess you need to check the ZYNQ TRM and datasheet for this information.

Thanks,
Anirudh

Re: zc702 USB speed

the 6MB is not that bad, you can get peak speeds up to about 20MB maybe with some tuning. Above that it gets harder and harder to improve the performance

I think the 480Mb/s is only the maximum theoretical speed of USB 2.0 and there seems no information about USB speed in datasheet.

Re: zc702 USB speed

Thanks. All the configuration seems to be ok. You test the USB speed and reach 20MB/s? Any suggestion?
