zynq7045 when useing uart0, something is wrong

Using the zynq7045 chip, before using only uart1, console output from uart1 serial port output, everything is normal. But now when I just turn on UART0 in vivado, do nothing else, import the HDF file through petalinux2016.4, compile (no modification, no addition to any other code) and generate code, the startup console output is abnormal? The concrete phenomenon is that the console outputs information from uart1 when it starts, but after decompressing the kernel, how can the console switch to UART0 to output information?

     thanks for your help!

Re: zynq7045 when useing uart0, something is wrong

Hi @sisxy,

I guess your board is ZC706 which has PS UART1 hardwired through MIO to UART port on board.

That is the reason the messages always displays in UART 1 port instead of UART0.

To use UART0 you need  to route via EMIO, have additional setup some sort of daughter card which has DB9 port connected to FMC header of ZC706.

Regards

Praveen
