[help]Model Sim error :# No design specified

Jump to solution

While I am using the Endpoint block plus v1.9 for PCI Expree, I do exactly under the instructions in pcie_blk_plus_gsg343.pdf to test the example generated with the core. But when I want to simulate the example, I encountered an error:

I first open ModelSim,then type this command:"cd e:\xxx\xxx\xxx\simulation\functional " to change the directory, then type the command in pcie_blk_plus_gsg343.pdf "vsim -do simulate_mti.do". But the error occured.I tried several times but in vain.

Can anybody know the reason and solution to the problem?Thank you very much!

Hu LI

You need to run vsim -do simulate_mti.do from a dos command window, not from within Modelsim.

Hello,

Can you copy the error verbatim so we know exactly which design module is ModelSim unable to bind?

Thanks.
