timing calculation

I am using a ZYNQ-7 ZC702 evaluation board of xilinx. I am booting a linux on this board and i am following user guide i.e UG873-xilinx  to start with this board. I need to calculate two timings which are as follows:

1.  time needed in the process of transfer of linux from  hard disk to RAM.

2.  time needed for the execution of linux in RAM.

 Calculating these timings is my concern . You can refer chapter 5 of user guide for this purpose. I am sending you the user guide with this mail and also providing you the link .

What is the booting device that you would want to use? There is an AR that talks about the boot time.
