The latest version of MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem in Xilinx IP Catalog is version 5.0
Can this IP be used in Vivado Design Suite version 2018.2 ?
Is this IP compatible on all the Xilinx Ultrascale+ MPSOC devices (xczu7ev , xazu7ev ,xazu3eg)?
Thanks in advance

Hello @vangogh23
>Is MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem IP (v2.0) released for 2018.2 inclusive to the vivado package?Or is it licensed?
If you are using Vivado 2018.2, you need license for MIPI IPs to use it on your product.
Since IP license is already bundled with Vivado 2020.1, I am not sure if you can get license for 2018.2 IP from the website. If you have difficulty getting/purchasing IP license please consult your Sales/FAE on this.

BTW, you can still get an evaluation license from this site.

Yes, MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem supports UltraScale+ devices including MPSoC devices.

This is not recommended and internally never tested.
If this is a new project I would suggest you to use Vivado 2020.1 and use the latest MIPI Receiver Subsystem.
Is there any special reason to use 2018.2 ?
Thanks & regards

Thanks Leo!
>Is there any special reason to use 2018.2 ?
I have been working with Vivado 2018.2 for the project. This is an update, so wanted to confirm if previous versions of MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem IP (v2.0) available with 2018.2 is good to go in a system.
In addition,
Is the latest MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem IP inclusive with the Vivado 2020.1 package?
Thanks in advance

Yes your understanding is correct. See also :

I am not aware of any major issue with MIPI CSI-2 RX generated from Vivado 2018.2 , so it should be good for a product usage.
Some notes:
1. MIPI IP generated from Vivado 2018.2 (and previous versions) has IO internal termination disabled by default.
Please enabled this using "set_property DIFF_TERM_ADV TERM_100"

2. Maximum Line-rate support is 1500Mbps for 2018.2
If you want to receive MIPI signal with line-rate above 1500Mbps, please upgrade your Vivado version. (to latest version)
Kind regards

Just one more thing to clarify,
Is MIPI CSI-2 Receiver Subsystem IP (v2.0) released for 2018.2 inclusive to the vivado package?Or is it licensed?
Thanks in advance
