MIPI CSI-2, D-phy Tx - DPHY-CLK-200m crystal oscillator requirements

Jump to solution

Hi,

@karnanl

Hi Leo.  You helped me about 1.5 years ago to get my SPARTAN 6 with the MIPI CSI-2, D-phy IP core to send 1080p50/60 video.

We need to substitute a different 200MHz LVDS crystal oscillator for the one we have used so far.

What are the minimum required jitter specs. and ppm required for this oscillator?

Hello Bruce

I believe you are using Spartan-7, since Xilinx MIPI IPs cannot be implemented in 6-series devices.

This dphy_clk_200M is connected to a MMCM.
So, MMCM input clock jitter/duty requirement shall be met. Please see also DS189.
( There is no ppm requirement since you are using MIPI TX IPs only )

You're right.

Thanks Leo for the quick answer!
