UHD-SDI resolutions

Jump to solution

Could the UHD-SDI IP be used for resolutions not included in the SMPTE spec? Or put another way, is there anything inherent in the UHD-SDI IP that would disallow its operation at such a resolution so long as the line rate was within the capability of the transceiver, e.g. a US+ GTH?

Hi @logicaledge,

The answer to your question is documented in AR#62645.

Can non-standard resolutions be supported?

The Video format does not matter for the RX and TX, as long as the data is legal SDI values and contains legal embedded SDI EAV and SAV sequences.

Only the UHD-SDI RX Subsystem will not work with non-standard resolutions.
