Where is recipe file for V4L2 DP 1.4 Rx linux driver ?

Jump to solution

Hi all

I found the following wiki page and I'm interesting it.

https://xilinx-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/A/pages/141950977/Xilinx+V4L2+DisplayPort+1.4+RX+Subsystem+Driver#XilinxV4L2DisplayPort1.4RXSubsystemDriver-MissingFeatures/KnownIssues/LimitationsinDriver

I know how to build it by make command.

However, I'd like to build it by petalinux-build or yocto.

So, I'm looking for recipe file for it.

Where is recipe file for V4L2 DP 1.4 Rx linux driver ?

Best regards,

Hi @watari

What you have found on the wiki page is an early drop of the Displayport Rx driver.

The development team is in a process of pushing the driver to Xilinx git . In future they will be built as a in-tree modules so they have not exercised Yocto steps to build the modules .

By 2020.2, the modules will be built using Yocto / Petalinux flow .

Hi all

I described recipe file for DP 1.4 and attached it as kernel-module-dp_git.bb.txt .

Now I don't have valid license of DP 1.4 on Vivado 2020.1. So, I couldn't make sure it.

Would you someone make sure it ?

[Note]

I request that Xilinx add tag, ex. rel-v2020.1, on dp-modules.git repository.

This repository is a little strange for me.

Hi @florentw

Thank you for your reply.

My thought is same as you mentioned.

I hope Xilinx will unveil it at 2020.2.
