VCU 2018.3 TRD 8 display stream example fails

Hello,

I am trying to run the "8_1080p30_HEVC_7_5Mbps.cfg" example from the VCU TRD v2018.3.  I am just using the prebuilt images from .\images\vcu_trd\ with a ZCU106 rev 1.0 board and a 1080p monitor. I am driving the HDMI Input from a computer and also am using a MIPI camera, the suggested LI-IMX274MIPI-FMC.

My issue is when running the 8 video streams example, after anyway from 30 seconds to a few minutes the output will stop, the monitor reverts back to the blue modetest screen and the below error is output. Also, the performance is pretty laggy on both the outputted MIPI video and the computer video output.

When running the AVC example, it does not seem to crash but instead the video is very choppy and I a lot of mipi_rx_subsystem buffer full errors as shown in the 2nd output.

Has anyone else seen these issues?

Yes, this is known and I have personally reproduced this issue.

In few of the planes you see flicker or hang. But in our case it was not going back to blue screen.

can you share your config file you tested ? I will take a quick look into that.

This is expected to get fixed in 2019.1 version.

Hi @kvasantr  thanks for the response!  Good to know it will be fixed soon.

I attached both the AVC and HEVC 8 stream config files, however just the HEVC one exhibits the "Cannot open device file /dev/allegroDecodeIP: Too many open files" followed by the "vcu_gst_app: ../src/uio_perfmon.c:178: u32 uPerfMon_Check_SIC_Overflow_Mask(): Assertion `pmon_handle.IsReady == XIL_COMPONENT_IS_READY' failed." error that aborts the program and returns to the blue screen.
