Vitis ZCU102 DFX Platform with multiple dynamic regions

Hello,

The pre-built zcu102_base_dfx platform is composed of one static region that includes the PS, and one dynamic region that is used for partial configuration at runtime.

Can we split the single dynamic region into two dynamic regions? Is it technically possible to use it for Vitis Acceleration?

Hi @patras

I am a little doubtful about this.

Let me check and get back to you.

Best Regards,
Nutan

Hello,

Thank you for your reply @nutang.

I am thinking that we might be able to create a custom platform with such topology, although I am not sure how the XRT will handle such a case, and how we can use the two dynamic regions at OpenCL API level.

Do you have any news about this?

Best regards,

Alex

Hello,
You certainly cannot divide one dynamic region into two dynamic regions.
In the future, this may also be supported.
You can create two or more dynamic regions using the Dynamic function exchange flow in vivado.
