Set random seed when building kernels

Jump to solution

We were wondering if there's a way to specify the random seed when building kernels with xocc, such that we can:

1) Deterministically reproduce a place and route result

2) Systematically scan seeds to obtain better results

I didn't find a flag to xocc, but perhaps this is something that needs to be passed to Vivado?

Hi, @definelicht  ,

In Vivado, we don't have a random seed like ISE.

To scan the Place & Route result of different directive, you need to create tcl script by yourself. (Start from opt.dcp)
