Debug MicroBlaze Output pins with Chipscope ISE 14.7

Hello,

I have a MicroBlaze with a MPMC (Multi-Port Memory Controller) v6.06.a. The output pins mcbx_dram_addres goes out of the FPGA to a DDR2 Memory. To debug an problem, I want to check the signals (mcbx_dram_addres) to the DDR2 RAM.

The problem is, in Chipscope I cannot select this Vector because the Base Type are OBUFT. How can I anyway debug this signals?

Regards

Fabian

Hi @fmueller,

The Chipscope is not able to connect to signal before an Input Buffer (IBUF) or after an Output Buffer (OBUF).

If you want to scope those signals, you'd need to find an equivalent net before those buffers and connect the Chipscope to it.

Thanks,

Hi @anunesgu,

thanks for your answer.

The problem is, the outputs are from the MPMC (IP Core) I don't know how I can connect the chipscope before the Output Buffers. I cannot come inside this MPMC. It is for me a kind of black box. Also with the special Chipscope inside the MicroBlaze, I cannot select these signals.

How can I look inside this MPMC?

Thanks

Fabian
