Vivado Hardware manager, recording SYSMON display and data..

Jump to solution

I have a question in regards to the hardware debugger and if it is possible to log and record the data being displayed for the SYSMON for a KU device.  I only want to monitor the temp and the VCCINT voltage over time.  I would like to record the data for possibly an hour or more.

Is there a way using the hardware debugger, or a TCL script, to do this?

Thanks for the time and help.

Hi @jechambe-koe,

The ILA cannot store data for such a long time. You really need a data logger.

You can build a TCL script to continuously collect data from the XADC and store it into a file.

Please take a look at my answer and detailed explanation on this link:

Thanks for the response.  This was what I was looking for.  I was able to use this script to record the data, and you can also monitor the live window in the background as its recording the data.

Thanks!
