The problem of BRAM

Jump to solution

As the picture shown,BUF1_real_V_i_U and BUF1_img_V_i_U words are 256,BRAM_18K is 1,Bits are 24.But when I try a new way to  implement, words are 129,BRAM_18Ks are 2,Bits are 24.The same problem happen in B_real_V_U and B_img_V_U.I'm baffled,so I want to know what BRAM_18K  depends on.Thanks.

Hi

I think HLS is a little bit stupid there.
It always round up to the next power of 2.

This results to an higher ressource consumption in case A.

If you use one word less in case A you get half the BRAM usage.

Kind Regards

Thomas
