I've just checked, and i can confirm that this has not been disabled, and i can still see this under my settings:

Are you not able to find this AVATARs tab under your settings?

Try using Google Chrome.  The Community Forum does not play nicely with MS IE or MS Edge.

I am one of those guys who avoids using "free" stuff from corporations like google whenever possible.

I tried firefox and ie on the PC, chrome on the phone (which won't let me uninstall chrome).

I wonder if it has to do with it is yet another benefit of posting on this forum?  (Instead of paying support, pay users in kudos...) and I don't have enough of some sort of worthless points yet.

I think you're right.  Using my old account with thousands of posts, etc. I have not only avatar choices, but also the ability to upload one (just did it).  Before the much touted "new avatars" there were much better looking ones, which eventually got modified to look more like the ugly new ones even if you had them selected from before the change.  Also I remember that some time ago anyone could upload a picture for their avatar.

@anatolicould you check if something else is going on?  Maybe your xilinx account is giving you full access to custom avatars?

As indicated in this post , "...once your rank is high enough in the Community, you can upload your own image or select an external picture as your Avatar."

Seems like your current rank isn't high enough in the Community, and that is why you can't upload your own image or select an external picture as your Avatar.

When I switched email addresses they wouldn't let me bring my "rank" with me. 

Now I don't participate here as much.

But hopefully the community forums will find plenty of people who will help others for kudos and hopes of getting a non-ugly avatar.

I agree , not being able to change email address would be a real **** if one could not keep ones "ranking"
