Obsolete synchronous BPI flash for Ultrascale devices

We were planning to use the MT28GU01GAAA1EGC flash memory for performing our FPGA boot operation over PCIe.  This part is on the recommended Appendix C list.  However, the part is also obsolete.  Is there a new recommendation or alternative method to quickly boot the FPGA?

Thanks,

Bruce

Re: Obsolete synchronous BPI flash for Ultrascale devices

As of 5/11/2017 there is no apparent solution to this problem.  Be warned that the Micron Flash part listed above is obsolete and there is no replacement with synchronous communication capability.  Upon querying Micron you will be told that MT28EW01GABA is the replacement part but it does not provide synchronous communication capability and has no clock pin.  Do not follow this path without first figuring out if Micron has come up with a real replacement part.  Lesson learned is not to trust the Xilinx documentation.
