Jump to solution

Hello

I want to know the Linux-OS suppored by SD-SOC.

I knew below document;

https://japan.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals_j/xilinx2018_2/ug1294-sdsoc-rnil.pdf

・Linux  support;

○ Red Hat Enterprise )Workstation 7.3-7.4 (64 -bit)

○ Red Hat Enterprise )Workstation 6.7  and 6.8

○ CentOS 7.2

○ Ubuntu Linux 16.04.3 LTS (64 bit)

- Linux  kernel 4.4.0

- Ubuntu LTS enablement (HWE  or  Hardware Enablement ) is not supported.

I want use latest Ubuntu(maybe Ubuntu 18).

Can I use Ubuntu 18 for SD-SOC?

The OS which are mentioned in the release notes of SDSoc are only supported.

Ubuntu 18 has not been tested so it will be an unsupported OS. We would strongly suggest users to always use supported OS only.

Hi kunihiko.kawahara@toshiba-visual.com

I suggest using ex. viertual box or docker on Ubuntu host, if you want to use Ubuntu OS.

This is only way to use SDSoC on Ubuntu OS.

Best regards,
