readback via Impact in LINUX- Please reply- Urgent !!

I am doing the readback using impact on LINUX. I am using the Artix-7. I successfully program the FPGA with the impact

setmode -bscan
setcable -p auto
addDevice -p 1 -file adder_dut.bit
program -p 1
quit

impact -batch program.sh

But when I do the readback the readback.sh code is :

setmode -bscan
setcable -p auto
addDevice -p 1 -file adder_dut.bit
verify -p 1
quit

It asks for the mask file that I have ignored the by setting in my bash file:

export XIL_IMPACT_VIRTEX_DUMPBIN=1export

export XIL_IMPACT_IGNORE_MASK_FILE=1

But it didn't work any idea how to do it in Linux.

Did you set the environment variables?

@austin I did it on WINDOWS 10 machine but still the same problem. I can successfully download the program via impact

impact -batch program.cmd

the program.cmd contains

setmode -bscan
setcable -p auto
addDevice -p 1 -file adder_dut.bit
program -p 1
quit

but the readback didn't ignore the mask_file

readback.cmd contains:

setmode -bscan
setcable -p auto
addDevice -p 1 -file adder_dut.bit

verify -p 1
quit

Please let me know if you have any idea....

To ignore the mask file, delete it from the working directory.

Hi Anwar,

Let us know if previous suggestion from Austin of removing the mask file helped in your process of readback.

Hi Anwar,

Windows10 is not a supported OS for impact 14.7, so could you try with windows7 and let us know the results.

Also is it possible to try with the GUI mode first and send us the snapshot when you try to readback the fpga(verify operation) including messages which shows up in the impact console to verify at our end.
