KCU105 FMC LVDS only?

Jump to solution

Hi All,

I'm trying to use the FMC LPC general purpose pins as single-ended (i.e. LVCMOS25) as per the FMC specification. But I found this table in the UG917 KCU105 User Guide which states IOSTANDARD of LVDS on all these pins. Can I still connect the FMC to single-ended I/O, or is the termination fixed in hardware for the eval board?

You may use the pins for single ended IO, but not for LVCMOS25.  The pins are on HP banks, which can use a maximum VCCO of 1.8V.  To use the pins as LVCMOS18, you need to change the xdc file.  Connecting the pins to an output that drives to 2.5V risks damage to your board.

Thanks, I've reduced my external interface to 1.8V!
