No board support for Digilent Zedboard in Vivado 2018.1

Jump to solution

Hello!

Vivado 2018.1 has no board support files for Digilent's Zedboard. How can one add the board support files to Vivado?

Regards,

Botond

@botondkirei,

Get your board files from here: https://github.com/Digilent/vivado-boards/tree/master/new/board_files

Diligent says that as long as the board files are from the above repo. they are the correct and valid. So download these. Then extract these to C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2018.1\data\boards\board_files folder.

You'll then want to restart Vivado (if you have it open) to make sure it sees it.

Hello @botondkirei,

What is the output at console when you type : get_board_parts -latest_file_version *zed*

Board files for Zedboard should be installed with installation of Vivado 2018.1 at location : C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2018.1\data\boards\board_files\zed

Regards,
Ashish

Dear dpaul24!

Followed your instructions, the Digilent ZedBoard is recognized by Vivado 2018.1. I think I got confused as in the default list appears "ZedBoard Zync Evaluation and Development Kit" from em.avnet.com. Now I see that it is the same as the Digilent Zedboard.

Thank you!

Regards,

Botond
