I have a ML605 board and want to measure the power consumption of it when a program (for example a fast fourier transform) is running.
I already have executed system monitor successfully, but when you run system monitor, it reprograms the FPGA so your current design will be deleted from FPGA.
I want to know if there is any way to run system monitor with another design simultaneously and if it is impossible, is there any other way to measure the power consumption of board when a program is running on it.

you can instantiate the system montior in your design and monitor the power and temperature.
check the following link for the system monitor user guide.
You can use the DRP to read the power and temperature registers.

I instantiated a system monitore core and chipscope core in my design and successfully run it on FPGA.
But in chipscope, when I choose system monitor, it just shows the temperature and Vccin and Vccaux voltages and there is no power or current information.
I should mention that in system monitor wizard, DRP is enabled but there is no sign of current or power in the wizard too.
