what fpga suits my application?

I am on my graduate studies and currently starting my proposal for my  thesis. My research is currently focusing on image and video processing  that involves detection and recognition of objects that will be  implemented on traffic scheme. This includes adaboost and haar  classifier algorithms.

My big trouble today is choosing the best altera FPGA that best suits my proposal.

I really hope you can help me with this.  I am planning to buy the hardware as soon as possible.

PS. My budget for the hardware is $1000.

Thanks

Leo

Re: what fpga suits my application?

1.  There is no 'best' FPGA.

2.  Did you know you are posting to the xilinx.com website?  Would a cup of coffee before posting be a help?

Summary:
1. Read the manual or user guide. Have you read the manual? Can you find the manual?
2. Search the forums (and search the web) for similar topics.
3. Do not post the same question on multiple forums.
4. Do not post a new topic or question on someone else's thread, start a new thread!
5. Students: Copying code is not the same as learning to design.
6 "It does not work" is not a question which can be answered. Provide useful details (with webpage, datasheet links, please).
7. You are not charged extra fees for comments in your code.
8. I am not paid for forum posts. If I write a good post, then I have been good for nothing.

You might wish to ask in the Altera forums.
